| history |
On November 13th, 1986, Paviche Largo was brought into the world. He was the second son, but third child born to Rottissimo Largo, an extremely renowned business man who owns and runs GeneCo. GeneCo is a business that provides amazing medical benefits to patients who need or…even want surgery, allowing patients to sign a contract and get moved up on the donor list, and receive organs and surgeries…for a price. You never had to pay anything up front, but what people didn’t know, was that after you signed the contract that a surgeon (or, as they’re known in GeneCo, a Gentern) handed to you, you only had 90 days to pay for the procedure…and if you didn’t, than GeneCo would keep taking money from you, adding more and more to your debt each day, until you had nothing left. It wasn’t a surprise, that the business boomed almost instantly, since Rotti Largo was providing such a good and much needed service to people who were unhealthy, or just plain unhappy with their appearance. The contract was always clear about the repercussions, but no one ever paid much attention to them at the time. All they knew was that they were going to live, because of GeneCo…they just didn’t realize they would have nothing left when they were done. Growing up in the Largo household was…interesting. It wasn’t good, but it sure as hell wasn’t all bad, either. The children, all born to different mothers, were rather close in age. Luigi was the oldest, and then there was Carmella, and finally there was Paviche. The fact that none of them had a steady female figure in their lives did more damage than anyone could have imagined. Their father’s habits of using and disposing of women like trash was something that didn’t go unnoticed…and because of this, each of them were scarred in their own ways; damaged beyond repair. The youngest Largo, knowing that he was the least likely of all the children to take over GeneCo because of his age, found himself constantly competing with his older brother for the respect of their father. The kids were spoiled, and they got whatever they wanted…except for what they craved the most: their father’s approval. Each of them acted out in some way, hoping to be noticed…hoping that they’d prove themselves worthy of being the heirs of GeneCo…but of course, they all had their extremely guilty pleasures that they tended to. Pavi’s was women. Even at a young age, Paviche was always able to get whatever woman he wanted, despite his effeminate mannerisms. He was quite the contrast to Luigi, who was tough, and violent, and always seemed to be angry about something or another. Even though Pavi has a rather airy voice, and a naturally thin figure, he was always charming, and gave women all the attention they wanted. His first sexual experience was with one of his dad’s employee’s; a 27 year old Gentern who was 10 years his senior, with him being only 17 years old. Whether it was because physical contact from a woman was something he lacked his entire life, or some other even more complex reason, he became obsessed with the female body, and sex in general. He loved the feeling of it, and the shape of their hips, and the smoothness of their skin, and the taste of their lips. The relationship with the doctor continued on, for a few months, until the woman decided that he wasn’t worth losing her career if their little tryst was ever discovered. This upset Pavi. No, this drove him crazy, actually. Or…crazier, since there was no denying that Pavi wasn’t all there to begin with. He wouldn’t be able to feel her anymore, or look at her beautiful face, or make her do any of the things that he enjoyed. Thankfully…or, not so thankfully…the woman was a junkie; addicted to surgeries that were given to her at a discount because of her occupation, and the drug that came along with it. It was called Zydrate, and it was an intense pain killer that was distributed by GeneCo, to help numb the pain that scalpels, staples and stitches caused. Keeping this in mind, Pavi told her that if she spent one more night with him, he’d get her however much of the drug she wanted. She agreed, figuring it was worth it for her habit. She shot what she presumed was Zydrate into her arm…only to realize that it was a very strong sedative. That night, Pavi not only raped the woman, and in his crazed state of mind, took a scalpel to her face, removing it completely. It was a messy procedure, but the sick part was that he knew what he was doing. He took the woman’s face, and sterilized it; cleaning off the blood, before he disposed of the body. All the was left of her was her face. Her beautiful face, that was now his. These sickening acts of luring women, raping them, and then removing their identities went on for years, but when he was 19, something horrible happened. Paviche went under the knife, but came out terribly disfigured. He couldn’t even tell you what number surgery it was for him, since the past time of getting his face and body altered was something that had developed a long time ago; almost around the time of his first murder. He had always had delicate features, but because he was so obsessed with the beauty of females, he had gone under the knife to look more…feminine. More beautiful than handsome. But something went wrong, during a Rhinoplastic procedure. The Gentern botched the operation, and he was left terribly scared. His face was ruined…and for years, he didn’t get it fixed. He’d wear a mask, covering his scars, hoping that no one would ever see how ugly he was. Because of his reputation of being a ladies man, women continued to flock to him, even with his disfigurements…partially because he was so charming, and knew what he was doing, but also because of his name. Largo. It meant power, and power was something a lot of people to get their hands on…and if Pavi had to act as a vessel for their own selfish desires, so be it. He’d just make sure he was the one coming out on top in the end. By the time he turned 22, he went in for a consultation with a Gentern, only to have them tell him that his face needed to be repaired now, or else it wouldn’t be able to be fixed later. Pavi was petrified. Hadn’t he already suffered enough? Hadn’t he gone through enough trouble? At first, he refused…but eventually, he gave in. The GeneCo Opera was only a few weeks away, and it was always something Pavi enjoyed immensely…and it was the last one that the GeneCo spokeswoman, Blind Mag, would be singing for…it was also the last Opera his father would be attending, as far as he knew. Rottissimo had become rather ill, and was about to hand down the company to one of his children. What better time to reveal a new, even more beautiful face to the world? He was sure that it would be a big deal, to see the youngest Largo without that mask for the first time in 3 years. So, he got the procedure…and everything went perfectly. He was more than pleased with his new face, and was able to pose for all of the camera’s at the opera with a large grin on his face, and a Gentern hanging off of each of his arms. But that was the night that everything went wrong. Amber Sweet, also known as Carmella Largo, had her mental breakdown on the stage, performing a number that she didn’t even get to finish, since she believed her face was falling off completely. Paviche smiled to himself, knowing that now that Amber was out of the way, he had a better chance of taking over GeneCo…but that wasn’t what happened at all. Because of Amber’s breakdown, which was influenced by Zydrate, the police came to their home and raided everything, looking for the illegal substance…but came across something even more disturbing. They came across Paviche’s collection of conquests, which were all laid out in a hidden area in his closet. The police immediately arrested Pavi, and he was brought to court to try and defend himself for the murders of 9 women (the number of faces they found; he was specific about whose he kept…they had to be exceptionally beautiful), and the rape of 23, after they managed to get him to confess an exact number. The sedative he gave the women was strong enough, so that when they woke up, they didn’t remember much of anything that had happened the night before…or who they were with. He got off on an insanity plea, and was sent off to Cheshire Crossings, where he is being closely observed, and treated for his psychological damages…even though some say he’s too broken to even try to fix. There was a big uproar in the media about his trial, and several people, including family of his victims, demanded that he pay for what he did to their loved ones. Pavi just picked at his nails, and stared at his reflected image in the window of the cop car, ignoring the cries of injustice that were going on around him. People were so self centered sometimes. |
